Rebirth of the Charming Girl in Space

 Chapter 112:

Uncle He

Wei Yushan couldn't believe that Murong Lingran forgave her so easily. She exclaimed, "Thank you."

"It's okay, it's okay."

After Murong Lingran left, Madam Wei looked at her daughter suspiciously. "Since when did you become so understanding?"

"Mother, I'm also a woman, and I care about my appearance. The cherries from her family are beneficial, and they will continue to supply us with vegetables. I would be foolish to oppose someone with such abilities."

Madam Wei smiled approvingly. "You understand. Be careful with your words, don't judge people by appearances, and always leave room for negotiation. You never know when you might need help from others, understand?"

"I understand, Mother."

Madam Wei then instructed, "Go and inform Young Master. Let him know we won't be receiving cherries from now on."

He, Jingxuan, should convey the message to that person himself.

"Yes, I'll go now."

Murong Lingran, upon leaving the residence of the Minister of Rites, had Steward Cao deliver the items to a secluded spot near the South Gate. Seizing the opportunity, she stored everything in her space.

Returning home, it was time for lunch. She prepared a sumptuous meal with the gifts from Madam Wei. After lunch, she inspected the vegetable garden. Pleased with Xia Shi's meticulous work, she nodded in satisfaction.

They had dug a small pond by the uncultivated land near the river, making it convenient to irrigate the crops. At night, taking advantage of her father and brother's deep sleep, Murong Lingran watered the seeded areas with spirit spring water and added some to the pond. Then she went back to her room.

She contemplated something for a while before tinkering around in the space until midnight, eventually falling asleep.

Over a month had passed since they began constructing the house, and the main structure was nearly complete. It would be finished in less than half a month. Murong Kuan's foot injury had healed well, and him staying behind to oversee the construction posed no issues.

Mu Rong Ling Ran and her father entered the city, traversed several alleys, and knocked on a courtyard door.

"Who's there?" a voice from the courtyard called out.

Murong Zhe replied, "Hello, we were introduced by Master Zhuang and came from Lihua Village."

After a while, the door opened, and an elderly man with graying hair but a spirited appearance stepped out.

Murong Zhe quickly said, "Is this Uncle He?"

Uncle He nodded.

"I'm Murong Zhe, and this is my daughter, Murong Lingran."

After briefly examining them, Uncle He turned around and walked into the courtyard, saying, "Come in."

"Thank you."

The father and daughter followed him inside, and Murong Lingran closed the door behind them. Inside, they saw a pile of wood on the ground.

Uncle He, as soon as he entered, started using a planer to work on a piece of wood while saying, "Old Zhuang must have informed you about the situation here. I have ready-made items. If you find something you like, you can buy directly. I don't take custom orders. If you're unsatisfied, you don't have to buy."

Murong Lingran sighed silently. This person indeed matched the description given by Li Zhuang.
