Rebirth of the Charming Girl in Space
Chapter 114:
Design Blueprints
Shitou nodded, "Thanks to Sister Ran, our lives have improved a lot recently. We never go hungry anymore, and sometimes we even get to eat meat."
Uncle He looked at Murong Lingran with a complex expression. He didn't expect that during his absence, this girl took care of Shitou and the others.
His wife and children were swept away by a flood in their hometown. Later, he remarried a widow with two children. However, the woman left, leaving him with a stepson and a stepdaughter.
Although his wife left, the children were innocent. Aware of his own limitations, he didn't remarry and managed to raise the two children by working as a carpenter.

After the stepdaughter got married, the stepmother complained about the mess he made with his carpentry work. So, when she moved out, he rented this small courtyard to focus on his woodworking.
Due to his refusal to accept custom orders and the unappealing designs he created, business wasn't thriving. The money he earned barely covered living expenses and rent, with a little left to help Shitou and his friends avoid starvation.
Fortunately, Shitou and the others were not greedy, relying on begging and occasional assistance from Uncle He to sustain themselves.
Curious, Shitou asked, "Sister Ran, why are you here?"
Murong Lingran smiled, "And why are you here?"
Scratching his head, Shitou said, "Grandpa He is the one I mentioned, the kind old man who often visited us."
Murong Lingran made an understanding expression.
Uncle He looked at them, "So, have you found anything you like?"
Murong Lingran shook her head regretfully, "Uncle He, I'm sorry."
Uncle He seemed accustomed to such responses, showing little disappointment. "It's okay, I understand."
He picked up his plane again and resumed his work.
Seeing they didn't leave, Uncle He questioned, "Is there anything else?"
Murong Lingran raised an eyebrow, "Uncle He, your craftsmanship is genuinely excellent. Both my father and I think so. It's a shame you don't accept custom orders. If you reconsider, we're ready to provide a deposit immediately."
Uncle He glanced at the direction of his beloved Shitou and shook his head, remembering the incidents caused by custom orders in the past. "I'm sorry. Despite your help to Shitou and the recommendation from Village Head, I can't agree."
"Don't rush to refuse, Uncle He. I have several design blueprints here. If, after seeing them, you still reject our custom order, we won't say another word and will leave immediately."
Uncle He, frowning, looked at the stack of papers in her hand and sighed, "Fine, considering your help to Shitou, I'll take a look."
Murong Lingran immediately brightened and handed the papers to Uncle He.
Uncle He started carefully examining them. Initially skeptical, he didn't expect much from a child's design. However, halfway through, a look of obvious shock appeared on his face. After finishing, he shivered and asked, "Girl, where did you get these designs?"
The designs were incredibly beautiful, novel, and delicate. He had never seen anything like this before. Compared to the designs on the blueprints, his work seemed unbearable, and he felt the urge to smash everything and start anew. No wonder his business was declining day by day.
