Xiang Zimo, unimpressed by her theatrics, replied with a frown, "No harm done."

As Xiang Zimo boarded the carriage without looking back, Murong Xue shot a disgruntled look at Murong Lingran.

With Xiang Zimo and his party out of sight, Murong Lingran turned sternly to Murong Xue, "Why are you here?"

Ignoring the question, Murong Xue quickly asked about Xiang Zimo's identity, assuming him to be a wealthy city gentleman. Murong Lingran, amused by her sudden interest, teased, "Are you interested in him?"

Blushing, Murong Xue retorted, "What's strange about being attracted to such a handsome and wealthy young man? Stop talking nonsense and tell me about him."

Murong Lingran, raising an eyebrow, agreed with a smirk.

She knew Murong Xue had never shown interest in local villagers, but it seemed she harbored ambitions to marry into a wealthy city family. Murong Lingran found it amusing, comparing Xiang Zimo to the Ninth Young Master.

"Yes, not surprising." With that, she walked away, dismissing Murong Xue's numerous questions.

Frustrated, Murong Xue rushed to block her path, asking, "Tell me, what's the name of that young man?"

Earlier, she had hoped to share a meal with him at her uncle's house but was disappointed when he left abruptly. She believed her beauty would captivate him.
