The streets, illuminated by the early evening glow of the lanterns, exuded a subtle charm and gentleness not present during the daytime. Zhang Xiaowen, dressed in a light blue suit, appeared somewhat weary under the dim yellow lights. Just as she entered the building, she remembered that the light bulb in the bathroom was broken, so she hurriedly turned and headed towards the convenience store next to the building.

Opening the door, turning on the light, kicking off her shoes, and tossing her bag, she completed these actions in one swift motion. Zhang Xiaowen carefully moved the heavy ladder from the balcony to the bathroom, testing its balance. With caution, she climbed the ladder step by step. Suddenly, her foot slipped, and with a startled cry of 'Ah!', she fell heavily onto the tiled floor, motionless.

On the walkway beside the lake in the Capital's Jingting Pavilion, stood two girls, both around thirteen or fourteen years old, facing each other. The one wearing a light yellow dress had just finished admiring the lake view and was about to descend the stairs, while the one in the light blue dress was just two steps away from entering the pavilion to enjoy the scenery. However, the staircase was narrow, allowing only one person to pass at a time, and neither of them wanted to yield. 

Simultaneously, they both lifted their feet and attempted to step forward, squeezing together on the stairs. The girl in the light blue dress, being in the lower position, struggled to exert force, and with a cry of 'Ah!', she tumbled down the stairs and fell to the ground, motionless.
